75年「Quincy Jones」の名作アルバム”Mellow Madness”で大活躍したことで注目され、76年には「Quincy Jones Productions」からデビュー、デビュ－アルバム「Look Out for #1」は、”全米R&Bチャ－ト第1位”と”RIAA・プラチナム認定”を獲得、一躍スタ－ダムにのし上がります
