本日は英国初のゴスペル・バンドとされる「Paradise」

透明感溢れたゴスペル・ソウル曲です

本国イギリス盤メガレアLPと

12inchの「Special Long Version」でお聴きください

ニュ－ヨ－ク育ちで素晴らしい歌唱力を持つ”Paul Johnson”をリ－ドシンガ－に擁し、英国初のゴスペル・バンドとされる「Paradise」、77年、サウス・ロンドンで”Junior Edwards（B)”, ”Phillip Edwards (Key)”をリ－ダ－に・・・・”Raymond Dennis (Key)”、”Bobby Clarke (Drums)”、”David Aiyeola (G)”、”Carl Edwards (Per)”でグル－プを結成

80年にはゴスペル・グル－プ「The Williams Brothers」で活躍するゴスペル歌手”Douglas Williams”をリ－ドボ－カルにアルバムデビュ－します。

82年にはリ－ドシンガ－として”Paul Johnson”が加入、厚みを増したヴォ－カル陣で「World's Midnight」と「Love Is The Answer」(83年）と至宝のゴスペル・ソウル・アルバムを2枚リリ－スします

”Paul Johnson”は85年以降、「London Community Gospel Choir (ロンドン・コミュニティ・ゴスペル聖歌隊)」に在籍、「ザ・ベスト・ブリティッシュ・メイル・ゴスペル歌手賞」を2度獲得、その後はソロでもアルバム2枚、シングルは最新作が2014年まで15枚もリリ－ス、素晴らしい歌唱力で活躍します
