英国サウスロンドンで79年に結成されたソウル・ファンク・グル－プ「The Cool Notes」、オリジナルメンバ－は”Stephen McIntosh (Key/Vo/Writer)” ”Joseph 'J.C.' Charles (G)” Loxley Williams(G)””Charles Keymist (B)”に歌唱力抜群な女性リ－ドボ－カル ”Heather Haywood (Lead Vo)”” Lauraine Smart (Lead Vo)”の6人組です




デビュ－当初は「Lovers Rock / Reggae音楽」で81年までに9枚のシングルをリリ－ス、84年に音楽ジャンルを「ソウル・ファンク」に転向、シングル「You're Never Too Young」をリリ－ス、”全英チャ－ト42位”にランクイン、その後、85年には「Spend the Night」「In Your Car」と”全英チャ－ト・トップ20”に2曲を送り込み英国だけでなく世界で人気を博します



音楽ジャンルを「ソウル・ファンク」に転向後、グル－プは91年最後のシングル「Make This A Special Night」までに11枚のシングルと1枚のアルバムをリリ－ス、抜群の歌唱力の女性ボ－カル陣を武器に上質なダンスナンバ－を提供しました
