本日はベテラン3人組で結成されたヴァ－カルグル－プ「Leo's Sunshipp」
兄・”Elgie Stover”の影響で、”Marvin Gaye”とは縁が深く「Change What You Can（68年)」, 「You're The Man (72年)」を共作、アルバム「What's Going On」ではバックボ－カルとして参加、その後も”G.C. Cameron”や、”Diana Ross”に曲を提供、作曲家として活躍します
78年、「Leo's Sunshipp」としてハリウッドの「Total Experience Studios」で録音、”Alvin Few”がオ－ナ－を務めるアトランタの「Lyons Record Company」からアルバム「We Need Each Other」をリリ－スします。グル－プとしてはアルバム1枚を残すだけで解散、”Kenny Stover”は”Bobby Nunn”や”Peabo Bryson”などに曲を提供し、活躍しますが2010年、62歳で急遽しました

”Marvin Gaye”と「Motown作品」の共作で知られる”Kenny Stover”、”Johnny Simone”、”Alvin Few”のベテラン3人組で結成されたヴァ－カルグル－プ「Leo's Sunship」
”Johnny Simone”が作曲した、ロマンティズム溢れるメロウネスな名曲は、セクシ－なヴァ－カルが見事です
12inchカットは英国「Grapevine」からリリ－スされた、希少な”45回転のUK盤 12inch”だけです。86年に「Expansion」から再発盤がリリ－スされていますが・・・・・音質の違いはプライス以上に明白です。ダンスフロア－を意識して高音圧でワイドレンジな「Special Disco Version」としてプロユ－スにアレンジされています
心地良いメロウネスな世界にどっぷりと嵌れる至宝の名曲です
