デトロイトで53年に生まれたジャズ･フュージョン界のギタ－奏者”Earl Klugh”、10歳からギタ－をはじめ、18歳の71年、”George Benson”のアルバム「White Rabbi」レコーディングに参加、20歳で”Chick Corea”の「Return To Forever」に加入




76年にはGRPの”Dave Grusin”に見いだされソロ・デビュ－、アルバム「Earl Klugh」は”全米・Jazzチャ－ト・16位”にランクインします。次作「Living inside Your Love」は”全米・Jazzチャ－ト。8位”、77年「Finger Paintings」は”全米・Jazzチャ－ト・6位”と、順調に推移します




一貫してアコースティックを主体にした”Earl Klugh”独自のスタイルを確立、81年「Dream Come True」から、2008年「The Spice of Life」まで「グラミ－賞・受賞・6回」を数えます。また76年のデビュ－から、2008年までにリリ－スした「22作のアルバム」は、全て”全米・Jazzチャ－ト・10位以内”にランキングされる快挙を成し遂げています
