”Ernesto Phillips (G)”をリ－ダ－に”Orlando (B,Sax)”,”George (Key)”、”Greg (Drus)”の「Phillips4兄弟」と”Ky Adeyemo（Vo Key）”と驚異のハイト－ン・パワフルな女性ヴォ－カル”Renee Diggs”の6人組FUNKグル－プ「Starpoint」、その歴史は古く、69年にメリ－ランドで結成された「Lycindiana」が前身、当初は「Motown」や「All Platinum Records」などでバックバンドを務め演奏力に定評を受けます




80年、NYにて「Marz」「Cliff Dawson」「Five Star」などを手掛ける名プロデュ－サ－”Lionel Job”に見いだされ、6人組FUNKバンド「Starpoint」が始動、シングル「I Just Wanna Dance With You」が全米R&Bチャ－ト第19位にランクインします




その後は81年「Keep on It (全米R&B31位)」、83年「It's So Delicious (全米R&B32位)」、85年「Restless (全米R&B14位)」、87年「Sensational (全米R&B19位)」と90年までに10枚のアルバムをコンスタントにリリ－ス。卓越した演奏能力とお洒落で小粋な生音FUNKで80年代は独自路線を貫徹しました

69年から「Motown」や「All Platinum Records」などで、バックバンドを務め、長年の下積みで培った経験のもと、80年にデビュ－した、6人組FUNKグル－プ「Starpoint」の81年作




卓越した演奏能力が光る、お洒落でゴ－ジャスなFUNKのアルバム、タイトルチュ－ン「Keep On It」は”全米・R&Bチャ－ト・28位”にランクインしました




12inchカットはプロモ－ション用に配布された”非売品 US盤 Promo 12inch”だけでした。ダンスフロア－を意識した「Special Disco Version」として、プロユ－スにアレンジされています
