”US盤12inch”の「Disco MIX」でお楽しみ下さい

ジャマイカ、キングストンのレゲエ・グル－プ「Third World」、”Michael Cooper (Key)”と”Stephen "Cat" Coore（G)”を中心に、ホテル付きのバンドとして活動していたデビュ－前の「Inner Circle」元メンバ－の6人で73年から活動を開始します

75年、ジャマイカ生まれのレコードレーベル英国「Island Records」から、シングル「Railroad Track」でデビュ－、78年シングル「Now That We Found Love」が”全英・チャ－ト・10位”のメガヒットを記録、レゲエ界では”Jimmy Cliff”、”Bob Marley”に続き、世界的な成功を収めます

その後、80年「Dancing on the Floor (全英・10位）」、82年「Try Jah Love」とビックヒットを輩出、最新作は2014年までアルバムにして21作をリリ－ス

レゲエの枠を超えてSoulやFunkまで網羅して「レゲエ親善大使」と呼ばれ、現在もライブ活動など世界で活躍しています

78年、ラスタファリ運動をベ－スに作成した3rdアルバム「Journey to Addis（邦題エチオピアへの道）」から、「The O'Jays」のヒット曲を、洗練されたレゲエ調のポップなサウンドにアレンジ

“全英チャ－ト・10位”、”全米チャ－ト“でも「TOP40」にランクイン、「Third World」がインターナショナルに活躍する礎になった名曲です

“US盤 12inch”はアルバム「7分」からアレンジされて、「7分37秒」の「Disco Mix」になっています
