”グラミ賞・2部門”にノミネ－トされた,、卓越したコ－ラスが魅力の、ゴ－ジャスなファンクです。

”George Kerr”と並ぶスウィート・プロデューサーであり、「Soul Generation」,「Devotion」,「Jimmy Briscoe & The Beavers」のプロデュ－ス、「Silver Dollar Records」,「Pi Kappa Records」,「Wanderick」などのレ－ベル・オ－ナ－である”Paul Kyser”が手がけた大型ファンク・バンド「Rhyze」

メンバ－は”Roscoe Taylor (lead vo, trumpet)”, ”Elisworth "EI-T" Anderson (b,lead vo)”, ”Vince Jackson (g,lead vo)”, ”Charles Holmes (drums)”, ”Joseph "Jo Jo" McKnight (per)”, ”Kevin Barbee (key)”, ”Richard Menter (trumpet)”, ”Kenneth Hicks (sax)”の8人組です

バンドの歴史は古く、70年にニュ－ジャ－ジで結成、バンド「Nu-Sound Express, Ltd.」名義で”Paul L kyser”がプロデュ－ス、「Silver Dollar Records」第一弾ア－ティストとして”シングル・2枚”をリリ－スしました

80年、バンド名義を「Rhyze」に変更して再デビュ－、シングル「Just How Sweet Is Your Love」が”全米・ダンスチャ－ト。16位”にランクインして人気を博します

アルバムリリ－スは2枚だけですが、”グラミ－賞”では「Best New Artist」、セカンドアルバム「Rhyze To The Top」は「Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group」にノミネ－トされ、卓越した素晴らしいコ－ラスで注目されたグル－プでした
