本日は'80s Funk,そしてBootsyの代表作として無敵の人気を誇る名曲


ゴリゴリFUNKYなぶっ飛んだ世界観が表現された、豪快FUNKです

オハイオ州シンシナティー生まれ。最も重要なファンク・ベ－ス奏者の一人で、”Snoop Dogg”の叔父にあたる「William "Bootsy" Collins」


幼少の頃から、兄”Catfish Collins”と音楽に親しみ、14歳で兄がギタ－、自身はベ－スで音楽活動を開始、67年には後に「The Spinners」で活躍する”Phillipe Wynn”とバンド「Pacemakers」を結成


68年には”James Brown”とセッションを行い、70年からはバックバンド「JB`ｓ」として活躍・・・・・・72年からは、兄と共に「George Clinton」率いる、「P-FUNK勢」に加入、主要メンバーとなります


その後、76年には自らのリ－ダ－バンド「Bootsy's Rubber Band」を結成、「星型のサングラス、シェイプが星、色は真っ白、きらきらひかる装飾のスペース・ベース」をトレード・マークに・・・・・・一躍スターダムにのし上がりました。現在もFUNKシ－ンの最重要人物として各方面からリスペクトされ精力的に活動しています

76年、兄”Catfish Collins (G)”、”Frank Waddy (Drs)”、”the Horny Horns”、 ”Gary "Mudbone" 、”Cooper & Robert "P.Nut" Johnson (Vo)”・・らと自らのリ－ダ－バンド「Bootsy's Rubber Band」を結成






名義に関する権利上の問題が影響・・・・・・どのアルバムにも収録されなかった、シングル盤限定、８２年の名曲です




”Bootsy Collins”の代名詞である歯切れのよい、たたみかけるようなうねるベースが堪能出来るスペ－シ－なFUNKナンバ－です
