78年、”Alton McClain”を中心に”D'Marie Warren”と”Robyrda Stiger”の3人がLAで結成した女性ボ－カルグル－プ「Alton McClain & Destiny」


”Alton McClain”は71年シングル「Come Back Baby」でソロデビュ－、79年には”Johnny Bristol”とデュエット曲「Hang On In There Baby」をリリ－ス、またプロデュ－サ－で作曲家として活躍する”Skip Scarborough”の奥さまでもあります




西海岸の精鋭ミュ－ジシャンがバック演奏した、79年のデビュ－アルバム「It Must Be Love」は、”全米・Blackアルバム・22位”を獲得、人気グル－プに浮上、西海岸らしい陽気でカジュアルな音造りで、81年までに3枚にアルバムをリリ－スします




グル－プ解散後、”D'Marie Warren”、”Robyrda Stiger”は高校時代の友人”Tina Scott”と「Krystol」を結成、「Solor」から”Leon Sylvers III,”にプロデュ－スされて「Precious,Precious (全米R＆B・1位）」など、多数のヒット曲をリリ－スして活躍しました
