本日はデトロイトで結成した5人組コ－ラスグル－プ「Five Special」

10分を越える叙情詩を思わせるコ－ラス・FUNKナンバ－です

”US盤 12inch”の「Special Long Version」でお楽しみ下さい

デトロイトで結成した5人組コ－ラスグル－プ「Five Special」、メンバーは「The Dramatics」のリーダー“Ron Banks”の実弟「Bryan Banks」を筆頭に・・・・・“Greg Finley”, “Mike Petillo” , “Steve Boyd”, “Steve Harris”の5人です

76年と77年に「シングル盤」をリリ－ス、79年、“Ron Banks”のプロデュ－スで「Electra」と契約してメジャ－デビュー、シングル「Why Leave Us Alone」が“全米・R&Bチャート・9位”のヒットをします

その後、81年までに「3枚のアルバム」をリリ－ス、素晴らしいコ－ラスと、ドラマティクな名曲で活躍しました

「The Dramatics」のリーダー”Ron Banks”がプロデュース、元「Crusaders」で「At Home Production」主催の”Wayne Henderson”がアレンジ、79年の衝撃的デビュ－シングルは”全米・R&Bチャート・9位”を記録しました

素晴らしいコ－ラス、ベース、ストリングスなど・・・・・バック演奏のドラマティックな展開までパ－フェクトに練り上げられた名曲中の名曲です

”US 12inch”は「Rick Gianatos」によりDisco Mixされています。LPアルバムより3分以上長尺化され「10分21秒」の「Special Long Version」とプロユ－スにアレンジされています
