ビブラフォ－ンがク－ルでグル－ビ－な、フュ－ジョン・ディスコです

”UK盤 12inch”の「Special Disco Version」でお聴き下さい

世界最大の米海軍基地がある「バージニア州・ノーフォーク」で76年に結成された大所帯・ファンク・グル－プ「Mass Production」

当初のメンバ－は”Kevin "D'No" Douglas (B)”、”James "Otiste" Drumgole (Trumpet)”、”Agnes "Tiny" Kelly (Lead Vo)”、”Larry Marshall (Lead Vo, Per)”、”Gregory McCoy (Sax)”、”Emmanuel Redding (Per)”、”Ricardo Williams (Lead Vo, Dr)”、”Tyrone Williams (Key)”、”Rodney Phelps (G)”、”LeCoy Bryant (G)”、そして、女性リ－ドヴォーカル"Agnes "Tiny" Kelly"を含み、10人組で独自の大所帯ファンクを展開します

デビュ－は76年、シングル「Welcome To Our World」が”全米ダンスチャート6位”と好発進でスタ－ト、79年にはシングル「Firecracker」（邦題爆竹戦法）が”全米・R&Bチャート・4位”に輝き、グル－プ最大のヒット曲になります。それ以外にも76年「Wine-Flow Disco」（全米・ダンスチャート・15位）、77年「I Believe In Music」（同・28位）81年「Turn Up The Music」（全米・R&Bチャート・36位）など多数のヒット曲を持ちます

76年デビュ－から、83年まで「8枚のアルバム」をコンスタントにリリ－ス、FUNKシ－ンの中核の一翼を担いました

暑苦しい迄のグル－ブ感に溢れたFUNKが多い「Mass Production」ですが、Keyboard担当の”Tyrone Williams”作曲でク－ルな都会的センス溢れた名曲です

12inchカットは非売品 US盤プロモとオフィシャルではUK盤だけでした。ダンスフロア－を意識して高音圧、ワイドレンジな「Special Disco Version」としてプロユ－スにアレンジされています

Keyboard担当の”Tyrone Williams”作曲、ク－ルで都会的センス溢れた名曲です
