ミシシッピ州で56年に結成され、大型ファンクグル－プ「Freedom」




メンバ－は、”The Three Suns”の「Oh Holy Night」を作曲した大ベテラン歌手”Adolph Adams”を中心に”Larry Addison (Key, Lead Vocal)”、”Ray Smith (B)”、”David Thigpen (Sax)”、”Tyrone Armstrong (G)”、”Victor Mason (Drs)”などの8人組




デビュ－は77年、自主制作でシングル「Can't You See」をリリ－ス、79年、サザン・ソウル名門レーベル「Malaco Records」と契約・・・・・・・デビュ－アルバム「Farther Than Imagination」をリリ－ス、「Dance Sing Along」と「Get Up And Dance」の特大クラシック2曲を産み出します





グル－プとしては84年「Are You Available? 」まで4枚のアルバムをリリ－ス、エレクトリックやブラコンに流されていくFUNKナンバ－界の中で生音大編成グル－プとして活躍しました

ミシシッピ州出身の8人組大型ファンクグル－プ「Freedom」79年、名盤として有名なデビュ－アルバム「Farther Than Imagination」からご機嫌なPartyチュ－ンです




スチャダラパーもカヴァーして今は「Get Up & Dance」が有名ですが・・・・・オンタイム、頻繁にプレイされたのはこちらでした




ディスコ音楽の宝庫マイアミの「T.K.Records」からプロモ－ション用として配布された非売品 US盤 Promo 12inchです。LPアルバム「3分9秒」から「5分20秒」に・・・・ダンスフロア－対応した高音質なRemixの「Special Long Version」としてプロユ－スにアレンジされています
