2. RAH Bandの経歴

43年イギリス生まれ、ストリングスのアレンジャーとして、60年代から活躍する”Richard Anthony Hewson”が自身の頭文字から命名した「RAH Band」

”Richard Anthony Hewson”は、映画「小さな恋のメロディ」のサントラ、”The Beatles”の「Across the Universe」「The Long and Winding Road」のアレンジ、”Supertrump”、”Diana Ross”、”Art Garfunkel”、”Herbie Hancock”など・・・・著名アーティストに多数、関わってきました

76年、”Jigsaw”の大ヒット・ナンバ－「Sky High」のアレンジを手掛け、翌年、自宅のスタジオで「RAH Band」を結成、77年にリリ－スしたデビュ－シングル「The Crunch」は”全英チャ－ト・第6位”の大ヒット・シングルとなりました

当初は「インスト・ディスコ・バンド」でしたが、奥さまの”Liz Hewson”をヴァ－カルに加え、80年「Falcon（UK 35位）」、81年「Slide (UK 50位）」、82年「Perfumed Garden (UK 45位)」、85年「Clouds Across the Moon (UK 6位）」とコンスタントにヒット作を連発

74年デビュ－からアルバムは87年までに9枚、シングルは最新作が2015年の「Nothing In This World」まで38枚もリリ－スする、ス－パ－プロジェクトです

映画「小さな恋のメロディー」のサントラ、”The Beatles”の「The Long And Winding Road」のアレンジを手掛けた”Richard Anthony Hewson”本人の頭文字から命名された「RAH Band」の83年作

”Richard Hewson”作曲、スペ－シ－なシンセサウンドと奥さまの”Liz Hewson”のキュ－トなボ－カルが美しい世界を作り上げます。素敵なア－バン・メロウ・ディスコです

本日ご紹介するのは”UK Limited 青盤・カラ－バイナル”です。アルバム「4分20秒」から「6分43秒」に「Long Wave Mix」としてプロユ－スにアレンジされています
