2. Lenny Whiteの経歴

ニュ－ヨ－ク、クイーンズで49年に産まれた生粋のニュ－ヨ－カ－、3度のグラミ－賞に輝いたジャズドラマー、プロデューサーの”Lenny White”

10代の頃、60年代半ばからSax奏者”Jackie McLean”と共演、20歳の時、帝王”Miles Davis”から招聘され、69年の名作アルバム「Bitches Brew」に参加、「Miles Davisグル－プ」で活躍します

73年、”Chick Corea”に要請を受け「Return to Forever」に加入、”Stanley Clarke (B)”と「黄金のリズム隊」を組みます。”Lenny White”は特有の「オープンハンド奏法」を駆使、最盛期「Return to Forever」を支えます

「Return to Forever」は76年に脱退、ソロアルバム2枚を経て、自身のグル－プ「Twennynine」を”Carla Vaughn”、”Don Blackman”など歴戦のス－パ－ミュ－ジシャンと共に結成、コマ－シャルな「Jazz Funk」に挑戦しました

帝王「Miles Davis」のグル－プや「Return to Forever」で活躍した3度のグラミ－賞に輝く、Jazz界の凄腕ドラマ－ ”Lenny White”が結成したス－パ－グル－プ「Twennynine」の80年作

共同プロデューサーに「E.W.& F」の”Larry Dunn”、ボ－カルは「Change、BB&Q Band、Zinc」で活躍する女性歌手”Tanyayette Willoughby”と、”Lenny White”が、素晴らしいデュエットを聴かせてくれます

12inchは、”プロモ－ション用”として配布された「非売品・US盤 Promo 12inch」だけのリリ－スでした。リミックスはニュ－ヨ－クの敏腕DJ「Tee Scott」が担当、ダンスフロア－を意識してアルバム「3分40秒」から「6分22秒」に、「Special Long Version」として超絶Remixされています
